TOURNAMENT DETAILS

Tournament Structure

  • Total Participants: 64
  • Format: Single Elimination
  • Rounds: 6
  • Match Duration: 1 hour per match
  • Break Duration: 10 minutes between matches

Weekly Schedule

Sundays: 2:30 PM - 7:30 PM EST (4 matches)

Mondays to Wednesdays: 6:30 PM - 11:30 PM EST (4 matches per day)

Total Duration: 16 weeks (February - March)

Draft Format

  • Draft Format: 4 rounds, 1 round per day, 16 picks per round
  • Regional Structure: 4 regions (North East, South East, Central, West)
  • Selection Time: 5-minute clock per selection
  • Draft Order: Central → North East → South East → West

Pre-Mock Draft Cumulative Score

Participants will be assigned a pre-mock draft score based on:

What are the eligibility requirements for participating in the TDBVERSUS tournament?

You must meet the following requirements:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Possess a valid and active barber license in your state of residence
  • Have an active Instagram account showcasing your barbering skills
  • Be affiliated with one of the four designated regions: Northeast, Southeast, Central, or West
  • Register for the tournament by the specified deadline and pay the non-refundable registration fee
How is the pre-mock draft cumulative score calculated?

The pre-mock draft cumulative score is determined by factors such as:

  • Years of active licensure
  • State of residence (based on order of admission to the Union)
  • Age of the barber at the time of registration
  • Price of a basic haircut
  • Number of Instagram followers
What happens during the Regional Draft?

Four "Region Captains" will draft 16 participants from their respective regions, creating 64 competitors for the live online bracket rounds.

How are the live online bracket rounds conducted?

Barbers compete in head-to-head haircutting challenges. A panel of renowned barbers and live audience voting determine the winner of each round. Challenges are streamed live on Twitch and YouTube.

What are the judging criteria for the tournament?

Judges will evaluate participants based on:

  • Technical Skill (precision, fading, execution)
  • Creativity (originality, adaptability, artistic elements)
  • Cleanliness (presentation, client satisfaction, attention to detail)
  • Stage Presence (online) - professionalism, engagement, communication
  • Showmanship (Las Vegas) - stage presence, charisma, connection with the audience
What are the grounds for disqualification from the tournament?

Participants may be disqualified for:

  • Violating any of the rules and regulations
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct
  • Failure to comply with technical requirements or resolve technical difficulties during a challenge
  • Using multiple accounts to enter the competition
What is the liability of TDBI CORP and its affiliates?

TDBI CORP and its affiliates are not responsible for any injuries, losses, or damages incurred by participants or viewers during the tournament. Participants assume all risks associated with their participation.

What happens to video submissions and live stream footage?

All video submissions and live stream footage become the property of TDBI CORP. Participants grant TDBI CORP the right to use their likeness and competition footage for promotional and marketing purposes.

How are disputes resolved?

All disputes arising from these rules and regulations shall be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

What is the governing law for the TDBVERSUS tournament?

These rules and regulations shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Nevada.

  • NEVADA SKILL-BASED COMPETITION AFFIDAVIT (Exhibit A)
    Required for High-Value Tournaments Under NRS 463.015. This document must be signed in front of a notary.

    Nevada State Bank – Prize Funds Certification. This document must be signed in front of a notary.
  • IRS FORM W-9 TEMPLATE (Exhibit C)
    Request for Taxpayer Identification Number & Certification.
  • PARTICIPANT AGREEMENT
    Agreement between participant and TDBI CORP outlining terms of participation.
  • NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT (NDA)
    Agreement to protect confidential information related to the tournament.
